Spaghetti Frutti di Mare Carbonara

Well yesterday me n my friend Atikah entered a cooking competition with pasta as the theme. So the only thing that ran through my mind was "Spaghetti Carbonara". Why you may ask? Because i just love the taste duhh!! haha.. anyway, it was really simple actually. I just bought the prego carbonara mushroom tin thingy and boiled the spaghetti at home and i had to woke up damn early n earlier than usual on that day just to boil the yellow long thingy called the spaghetti. 

So every team was supposed to have one teacher to watch us and also help us with the cooking but yesterday me and my friend did almost all the cooking, Of course our teacher did help a little bit. She said she hand it all to us. It's up to us to cook anything she's just going to help a little bit here and there because she said she never a fan of this western food thingy. Well i dont mind actually coz its better that way. 

So i plop a little bit of onion into the pan and a lil bit of garlic and a lil bit of pepper and some olive oil and then after it turned brownish i smashed the prego carbonara into the pan. and stir it for almost 10 minutes i think. Well to be honest i could just threw the carbonara thing straight onto a plate of spaghetti but then i would lose without even having the jury to taste it. So yeah i decided to do what i did. Oh yeah about the seafood thingy, we actually added up a lil bit of prawn on the spaghetti and decorate it around the plate. (And also eat some of it) so its just that. Not much seafood i know but who cares. im just entering for fun. LOL. 

Oh yeah we had to cook in the canteen and when its recess time everyone was crowding the contestant including my team!!! Its so annoying and disturbing and some of em even brag to have a bit of our sausage. Hello! We're in the middle of something here! So i just ignored them and continued what i was doing. Then after the carbonara sauce was cooked our teacher decided that we steamed the spaghetti a bit so that it'd be nice and warm. so ok whatever i just did what she said and she decided to decorate the plate that we're going to put our spag on. Well i have to admit she really decorate it nicely. I would have taken a pic of it if i brought my phone yesterday. It was the prettiest spaghetti i've ever seen. And not to forget colorful too! LOL. 

So we had to serve it in the teacher's dining room for the judges to taste it. And yes we didnt get the answer yet whether we win or lose. But whatever the result is going to be for us i dont mind coz like i said i just wana have fun with my friends since its gona be the last year of me being the student at my school. Oh this is soo sad. :'( 

well thats it now.. coz if i keep on typing i would never stop rambling.. haha.. ok au revoir now..
